of the diagnostic catheter requiring surgical removal

Percutaneous coronary angiography is commonly performed examination with a low risk of a serious complications. Occurrence of

complications of transradial approach is around 1 %. In our institution, we perform about 2 500 coronarography per year since 2008,

about 1100 PCI, approximately 90 % is performed by transradial approach, and most of the patients examined in the outpatient mode.

We present a case report of severe complication of transradial coronary angiography, where it was necessary surgical intervention, but

without effect on patient΄s prognosis.

Keywords: vascular complications of transradial coronary angiography, kinked catheter, arterial spasm
