In a randomized, double-blind trial, drug-coated stent was compared with bare metal stent in patients with a high risk of bleeding.
All patients received 1 month of dual antiplatelet therapy and were followed more than one year. Treatment with drug-coated
stent led to 50 % decrease in target vessel revascularization and to 32 % decrease of myocardial infarction.
