Acute pulmonary embolism is one of frequent life-threatening cardiovascular diseases. Its severity varies from low risk cases with good

prognosis to severe shock states with high mortality. The most exact diagnostics and risk stratification is basic requirement for successful

therapy. This paper provides review of imaging methods which are fundamental part of diagnostic process in acute pulmonary embolism.
