The authors submit the instructions for procedures performed in the course of the cardiovascular rehabilitation following a myocardial

revascularisation. The listed procedures are in full accordance with the recommendations of the Czech Cardiological Society (on which

both of the authors had participated) and are justified by the conclusions from similar works from the worldwide written presentations

as well as by their own results. They prove the high effectiveness of cardiorehabilitation that supports and develops the effect of a cardiosurgical

act, improves the subsequent quality of life, decreases morbidity as well as mortality, influences the metabolic processes of

organism. This kind of treatment also leads to reduced use of surplus medical care in the period following heart operations. They prove

not only effectiveness, but also the safety of cardiorehabilitaion.

Keywords: cardiovascular diseases, cardiorehabilitation, physical excercise, risk factors.
