Hemopericardium and late cardiac tamponade after cardiac surgery

Cardiac tamponade that occurs late after cardiac surgery is relatively rare and potentially fatal complication. Early diagnosis and treatment

are important. The diagnosis of cardiac tamponade is based on the typical echocardiographic findings.
