A 71-year old patient underwent surgical revascularization LIMA-LAD for the tight proximal LAD stenosis 6 years ago. For the last several

months, he had been suffering from angina pectoris, rating from moderate to unstable, and finally including attacks of angina at rest.

Coronary angiography revealed normal LIMA-LAD; however, a severe stenosis of the subclavian artery proximal to the LIMA take-off

was found as the cause of the angina pain. Subclavian artery stenosis was managed by successful stent implantation and the patient

has remained free of any symptoms for one month after the procedure.

Keywords: suclavian artery, stenosis, bypass LIMA-LAD, angina pectoris, steal syndrome.
